Privacy Policy

Extra Work accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. Our services are directed to parents, guardians, and coaches, not to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create or control an account.

A parent or guardian registers on behalf of their child (the "athlete") and provides the athlete's information themselves, consenting to our use of it as described here. Coaches are responsible for having the right to provide any information they enter about athletes or families.

• Parent/guardian: name, email address, phone number.
• Athlete: name and birth year; optionally playing position, dominant foot, and training goals.
• Messages: content of messages sent through the app.
• Payments: handled entirely by a third-party payment processor. You enter your card or bank details directly with them; we never see or store your full payment card or bank account numbers. We may receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded.
• Automatically: when you visit the Site, we and our analytics and advertising providers collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site (see "Cookies and Tracking").

To provide and operate the service and manage accounts; track athlete training activity, progress, and leaderboard standings (private to your group); send transactional emails and in-app messages such as session reminders, completion notices, and payment reminders; respond to support requests; improve the Site; protect against fraud and misuse; and comply with the law.

Athlete training activity, progress, and leaderboard standings are private, accessible only to Extra Work and within the athlete's own private group. We do not publish athlete information publicly, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, understand Site usage, and support our marketing. We use third-party analytics and advertising tools, currently Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) pixel, and the TikTok pixel, which set cookies and share information about your device and activity with those platforms so we can measure and improve our marketing.

You can control cookies through your browser and opt out of interest-based advertising through the ad platforms directly (Google, Meta, TikTok) and through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info). Disabling cookies may affect how the Site works.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with: service providers who help us run the business (payment processing, hosting, email delivery, analytics); advertising platforms through the pixels described above; for legal and safety reasons (to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety); and in a business transfer such as a merger or sale of assets.

Under California law, our use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out as described under "Cookies and Tracking."

Because accounts are created and controlled by parents and guardians, we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; we collect a minor athlete's information only from the parent or guardian who registers them. A parent or guardian may review, update, or delete their child's information, or withdraw consent and close the account, at any time by contacting support@extrawork.io. If we learn we collected a child's information without required parental consent, we will delete it.

You can review and update your account information at any time, or contact us for help. You can also ask us to access, correct, or delete your or your athlete's information, and opt out of any promotional email using the unsubscribe link (we may still send account-related messages). If you are a California resident, you also have the right to opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for advertising and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information.

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to run the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, except records we must keep longer by law (such as payment and tax records). We use reasonable measures, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information, though no system is completely secure.
